Why Addition in Bank Account is called Credit not Debit?

A dive into the concept of Accounting

As you know addition into assets are accounted as debit and cash that is our assets should be termed as debited when deposited or transferred by someone into your account, but wait whenever when got any increase in our account bank termed it as credited like "Rs. 500 have been credited in your account" and for any deduction it says "Rs. 500 have been debited from your account"

So have you ever think why it happens? Neither you or the bank is wrong, the fact is, it is the matter of point of view, lets break it up

Bank gives you account statement from its own perspective that's why when ever you or any one increase your account balance it give rise to the liability of bank, since the bank make statements with its perspective it says credited for rise and debited for deductions
